What is similar and different about the culture of the school environment versus the workplace environment? The similar part i think is that you have to do work, but the environment is very different. It is an office with like about 10 people and is mostly quiet (very different from school)
What new skills have you learned that apply to the workplace? Which of these are transferable skills? In my internship site i have improve on my communicative skills due to making some phone calls. these are transferable skills because i will need to talk on the phone in the future jobs.
What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and co-workers? How have you grown as a result of interacting with professional adults? What kinds of communication (verbal and non-verbal skills) have you gained?
i am more comfortable talking with adults at my site and i think i can establish a conversation and clearly get my point across. my mentors are very nice and outgoing and that makes it easier for me to talk with them.
What challenges at the internship have you faced that you have overcome and how did you overcome them?
i have face the challenge of making decisions by my self. example, there are things that i would like someone to give me an opinion so that i can do it, but now, i can be certain that the decision i make is the right one.
What challenges have you faced in school as a result of the altered schedule and how are you handling them? now that we have much less time in school, the work that is given to us is very much, making them into homework. it is very frustrating because i get home very much late and very tired to go do my everyday needs and then homework.
What goals are you working to accomplish during the remaining five weeks of the internship? my goal is to remain on my internship and complete my missing hours of work.
What new things have you learned about New York City?
I haven't learn anything about New York City for now. is this related to the internship??

Tha fourth week.
The internship i work for is called Scenarios USA and is a non-profit organization that uses writing and film-making to help youth with their daily problems that affect them. It is located at 80 Hanson Place in Brooklyn. It is a very busy place that because the mall and numerous of other stores are around, very different from our school neighbor witch is very quiet.
I work with about 10 people in a office and they are very nice people all tho they are constantly busy, but they are very kind when it comes to explain things that they want me to do. This last Thursday Worked in a very tight project, making and filling some portfolios in a ery little time. I got to finish it on the right time but i left some stuff to do because it was time for me to go and pick up my little brother at school.
I'm lucky my internship is here in Brooklyn, I usually leave school around 11:50 and get to my internship around 12:30. I use to live at 15 minutes from my internship but since i moved to coney island, it takes me 1 hour to get there from my internship.
This week was different from the other because i got to do different job, overall, I love my internship and i don't dislike anything. they are always looking over for me and that's what a really like about it.

Week Three as an Intern
Well is my incomplete third week of my internship but I already have a set task that i do everyday i go in my internship. I help out with the outgoing mail, putting the right items in a packet, and being responsible to send it to the right destination. Is a very responsible job but I think that I am responsible enough to handle it.
